Douglas Curella, Jr.
Douglas J. Curella Jr., Esq., is a confidential law clerk in the New York State Unified Court System. He is also the Executive Director of the Clarence Soccer Club, a 501c3 located in Clarence New York. He has been practicing law for over 10 years. Curella also owns and manages multiple investment properties throughout Western New York. Prior to his appointment to New York State, Curella served as legal counsel and Chief of Staff in the New York State 60th Senate District and practiced law at The Knoer Group PLLC in Buffalo, New York. Curella is very active in the community, a member of the Good Government Club, sits on the Board of Directors the Center for Elder Law and Justice, a member of Project Play of Western New York, and a member of both the Erie and Genesee County Bar Association. He is also on the Coaching Staff for the "Exceptional Seniors" Boys and Girls All-Star Games held every year in November. Curella’s past involvement includes the Clarence Rotary and the Board of Directors for the SPCA serving Erie County. Curella is also a part of the prestigious Business First’s 30 Under 30 honorees — which are 30 Western New Yorkers in the early stages of their careers who are achieving at high levels at work and in the community. In 2021, Curella was named to the Coaches Honor Roll an award given out by Project Play of WNY, through the Ralph Wilson Foundation and the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo. He was the only coach from the Clarence Community to be selected for the award.
He is a lifelong resident of Clarence, and currently resides in Clarence Center with his wife Ashley, and two sons Douglas III (“James”) and Luca.
